Dungeons & Dragons-Inspired Music Album OUT NOW!
It's finally here! The D&D-inspired music album is now live. A multi-year passion project has now come to fruition. Learn more about the music and process below.
What is this?
An original EP created as a collaboration between musician Katie Day and the Dungeons & Dragons podcast Total Party Chill (TPC). The project includes several other LA-based musicians alongside Day.
Concept
The EP does not feature songs about D&D or its mechanics. Instead, the songs are written as if they exist inside the world of Dungeons & Dragons, the kind of music a bard might perform in a tavern, or a piece sung around a campfire between adventures. These in-world sounds are rendered using modern instruments and production rather than period or fantasy-styled instrumentation.
Origin / Commissioning
Total Party Chill commissioned the EP specifically for use in their show and podcast. Katie collaborated with TPC on both the songwriting and the overall creative direction, shaping how the concept translated into finished tracks.
